Level 1: Beginner
0% Complete
Level overview
Level 1 builds a reliable hover foundation so every later circuit, aerobatic, and 3D skill has a stable base. These maneuvers focus on take-off control, stationary hover discipline, and simple position changes without losing orientation.
Prerequisites
No formal prerequisites. Start here if you are new to collective-pitch helicopters, returning after a long break, or rebuilding confidence after repeated hover crashes.
Practice expectation
Expect roughly 15 to 25 focused practice flights to feel comfortable.
What you'll learn
- •Lift off cleanly and stop the model at a consistent training height.
- •Hold tail-in hover positions without drifting vertically or laterally.
- •Move the helicopter through a box, cross, and circle while preserving control.
