Level 5: Basic 3D

0% Complete

Level overview

Level 5 is where the program becomes recognizably 3D. Backward flight, tumbles, tic tocs, and aggressive collective management all arrive together, so practice structure matters as much as raw stick skill.

Prerequisites

You should already control inverted flight, flips, and sport aerobatics with enough height and bailout margin to recover reliably.

Practice expectation

Expect roughly 35 to 50 flights to make these maneuvers repeatable and not just survivable.

What you'll learn

  • Fly backward upright and inverted patterns with controlled entries and exits.
  • Perform tic tocs, tumbles, death spirals, and knife-edge style transitions.
  • Use altitude, spacing, and bailouts intelligently while pushing harder maneuvers.
